During the craziness of the COVID-19 outbreak Dana White and the UFC have been frantically trying to find a venue and a solid date for UFC 249, and their main event Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson for the UFC Lightweight title. After previously scheduling this fight four times, only to have it fall through, Dana is determined to make sure this happens.
After multiple failed bids and several dates and venues, Dana has gone on record to say that this fight is definitely going to happen, and that he knows for sure when and where, but so far mum is the word for the rest of us. So the question becomes “Is this th happening on April 19th like Dana claims, or is this bound to fall through as well? On top of that, does he actually have a venue?
So where is it going to be? Abu Dhabi is well known for shrugging its shoulders at most conventional rules and regulations. Or is it as Khabib has been bragging about - that it will be in Russia? Russia has been very vocal about wanting to host a big-time fight with their native son. Plus Russia is a big money ground that the UFC has coveted for some time. In all honesty, this writer puts his money on Putin, but feel free to draw your own conclusions. So where do you think this fight is going to happen?
